Egmont appoints Grosart as senior commissioning editor for picture books

Louise Grosart has joined Egmont from Penguin Random House Children's as senior commissioning editor of the picture book and gift list.

In the new role Grosart will report to publishing director Melissa Fairley and acquire new picture book titles. She will also look after existing authors and series such as Tintin and Kristina Stephenson.

Fairley said: “Louise's passion and creativity is matched by her strong commercial sense. I'm delighted to have her on the team."

At Penguin Random House Children’s, Grosart worked on Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter’s The Dinosaur That Pooped series and has looked after the backlists of Maurice Sendak and Emma Chichester Clark.
