Former Labour Party leader Ed Miliband and radio host Geoff Lloyd will launch a new book podcast series, sponsored by Vintage.
"Cheerful Book Club" will explore the "biggest new non-fiction books" in an eight-part series launching on Thursday 23rd January, featuring financial journalist and writer Michael Lewis, tech analyst Rana Foroohar, economist Mariana Mazzucato and novelist Ian McEwan.
Miliband said: "There are so many great non-fiction books out there with brilliant ideas. They deserve more attention. That’s the point of 'Cheerful Book Club'. We’re looking forward to talking to outstanding authors about how to improve our world."
Lloyd added: "Launching a second podcast feels like the natural next step in our ‘late in life friendship‚Äô. 'Cheerful Book Club' has been a long time coming so we‚Äôre delighted to be able to share the new series. We‚Äôve got some great conversations planned in series one."
This new show follows Miliband and Lloyd's collaboration on ‘Reasons to be Cheerful‚Äô, a weekly podcast about ideas to fix the world.
