A tie-in to Harry Hill’s "TV Burp" will be published later this year by Ebury, after the publisher bought the book for an undisclosed sum. Harry Hill’s TV Burp Book will be released in October. Publishing director Andrew Goodfellow acquired UK & Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, with EU exclusivity, from Avalon Management.
Goodfellow said: "Harry is regarded as one of the UK’s finest and most original comedy acts. His unique and family-friendly humour has made him hugely popular with television audiences, and his appeal is wide—reaching from school kids to students to mums and dads."
He added the full-colour book would contain new material, "jam packed with Harry’s trademark quips affectionately poking fun at the world of television".
Hill has established "TV Burp" as one of ITV’s key Saturday night programmes with an audience of more than eight million viewers. Harry Hill’s Whopping Great Joke Book (Faber) has sold 134,398 copies to date, according to Nielsen BookScan.
