Ebury signs two tasty titles

<p>Ebury Press has acquired two new &quot;imaginative&quot; and &quot;irresistible&quot; cookery titles for its 2010 list. </p><p>Senior editor Sarah Lavelle bought world rights from Mal Peachey of Essential Works for <em>Eat Me!: The Stupendous, Self-Raising World of Cupcakes and Bakes According to Cookie Girl</em> by Xanthe Milton.<br /><br /><em>Eat Me</em> will have 80 recipes for cupcakes and cookies, it will be published as a &pound;15 hardback in March 2010.<br /><br />Lavelle said: &quot;Cookie Girl is incredibly talented and wonderfully glamorous. Home baking is enjoying a huge renaissance, and Xanthe&rsquo;s cupcake and cookie recipes are imaginative and original. This will be more than just a cookbook &ndash; think Alice in Wonderland-meets-Nigella.&quot;<br /><br />The second title is <em>The SuperJam Cookbook</em> by Fraser Doherty. Editor Imogen Fortes acquired world rights from Jonathan Conway at Mulcahy Conway Associates. <br /><em><br />The SuperJam Cookbook</em> will include jam, marmalade, chutney and jelly recipes, as well as more unusual ideas for spreads, such as Banana and Rum Curd, Dulce de Leche and Chilli Jam. The book will be published in August 2010 as a &pound;12.99 trade paperback. Doherty is a 20 year old entrepreneur and created the SuperJam range, which has now sold more than 1m jars nationwide.<br /><br />Fortes said: &quot;Fraser&rsquo;s cookbook couldn&rsquo;t be more timely: as we all get back into our kitchens and rediscover the homely traditions we knew as children, jam-making has seen a resurgence in popularity. This inspiring, utterly irresistible book will have us raring to get creative.&quot;</p>
