Ebury is launching a straight-to-digital romance list, Rouge, acquiring print rights to the titles in order to launch physical editions of the most popular titles.
The first eight e-books will be released on 29th September, with plans to publish four titles per month subsequently. The list will be split into six sub-genres—Regency, Historical, Suspense, Contemporary, Paranormal and Occasions—with every title to be available for under £5.
Ebury editorial director Gillian Green said: "We knew that romance readers have been among the first to embrace e-books and we want to bring them the best romantic fiction out there."
The launch list is made up of: One Dance With a Duke, Twice Tempted by A Rogue and Three Nights With a Scoundrel by Tessa Dare; The Husband Trap by Tracy Anne Warren; The Warrior by Nicole Jordan; Wild Heat by Bella Andre; Crash Into Me by Jill Sorenson and Blood Magic by Jennifer Lyon.
The publisher is also setting up a dedicated website, www.rougeromance.co.uk, for readers to discuss the books and enter competitions. The site will also launch on 29th September.
