Ebury has acquired environmental influencer Madeleine Olivia’s debut on “making sustainable living attainable”.
Assistant editor Michelle Warner has acquired world all language rights to Olivia’s first book, Minimal, from Paige Jones at M&C Saatchi.
“Minimal makes simple and sustainable living attainable for everyone and guides readers on how to focus on what truly matters, using practical tips for everyday life to reduce their impact on the earth,” the synopsis reads.
“Environmental influencer Madeleine Olivia shares her insights on how to care for yourself in a more eco-friendly way, including how to make natural beauty products, how to declutter your life and how to introduce a mindful approach to your habits. This is the first book to encompass all the different areas of sustainable living, including home, beauty, food, fashion and travel.”
Olivia is a blogger and YouTuber whose aim is to spread the message of minimalism, low-impact living and self-love, making it easy and attainable for everyone. She was recently listed as one of the Evening Standard’s top environmental influencers to follow and runs her own ethical and sustainable clothing line.
The blogger, who has more than 400k YouTube subscribers, said: “I couldn’t be happier to be sharing this guide with a wider audience to make living a simple and sustainable life more accessible. There are so many things each of us can do to make a big difference, and it’s not about being perfect, but doing our best. It’s never been more important to evaluate how we are living and to reduce where we can. I hope this comprehensive guide can point the reader in the right direction, and inspire them to make positive changes that work for them and our planet.”
Warner added: “Sustainability is one of the most important issues of our time and we are proud to be publishing Madeleine’s accessible, fun and empowering guide. Minimal shows us the life-changing benefits of how simplifying our lives allows us to focus our ambitions and to truly appreciate what we already have, whilst caring for the planet we share.”
