<p>Eason has become the latest retailer to sell e-books on agency terms, signing contracts with Hachette and HarperCollins. Stephen Boylan, books purchasing manager at Easons, told<em> Irish Publishing News</em> that it was &quot;keeping an open mind in relation to [agency pricing&#39;s] potential impact. It&rsquo;s still early days, but we&rsquo;re in close contact with the publishers and will keep discussions open with them about any future developments&quot;.</p><p>Tony Hetherington, digital development manager at Gill &amp; Macmillan, Ireland&#39;s largest publisher, told the trade magazine it would be launching an e-book range in the first quarter of next year and would be pricing on agency terms.<br /><br />In the UK, Amazon.co.uk, Waterstone&#39;s, Apple and WH Smith are selling e-books on agency terms.</p>
