Norwegian bookshop chain Notabene, which filed for bankruptcy last week, is to be taken over by a company owned by bank DNB, according to reports.
Newly created Lesi AS, which is 100%-owned by Norway's biggest bank DNB, will take over the chain, which has 139 retail outlets and approximately 1,000 employees.
DNB is believed to have been Notabene's major creditor, owing in the region of NOK 300m.
Notabene, founded in 1985, has in recent years expanded into Sweden and Poland.
