DK is inviting Scottish booksellers to an Edinburgh event where senior members of the company will discuss their publishing with retailers.
The event follows on from the successful Booksellers Association-backed DK Days initiative which saw booksellers invited into DK’s London head office for an inside look.
Now DK Days is hitting the road with a children’s-focused event on 19th May at the Dove Cot Studios in Edinburgh.
The children’s-focused day will be led by c.e.o. Ian Hudson, publishing m.d Rebecca Smart, and Sarah Larter, children’s publishing director. A team of DK colleagues representing key areas of the business will explain the company’s creative process. The day will promote knowledge sharing and best practice, while giving booksellers the opportunity to give their feedback and insights on the company’s publishing.
Smart said: “We are very excited to take DK Days to Edinburgh. We recognise the importance of extending this motivating experience further afield and look forward to understanding the needs and priorities of more booksellers across the UK.”
DK will cover all local travel expenses for Scottish booksellers. Food and drink will be provided, plus a goodie bag to take home.
