DK is launching English Language Training imprint English for Everyone. Two years in the planning, the imprint is a new area of publishing for the illustrated reference publisher, which is part of Penguin Random House.
English for Everyone will initially release four “course books” and four “practice books”, supported by audio and digital exercises in “DK’s unique visual style”, the publisher reported. DK embarked on the venture after seeing a gap in the market for a “visual, comprehensive, easy-to-use self-study programme”.
Andrew Macintyre, DK ELT publisher, said: “We have known for a while that there is demand for learning English in the DK style. We are known for showing [readers] what others only tell them, and this is where DK really scores when it comes to language learning.”
Key language skills, grammar rules and vocabulary will be reinforced with listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises, which will be available in print and digital format.
