DK has appointed Bloomsbury's Emily Monckton-Milnes as head of mass-market and non-trade sales in its UK team.
Monckton-Milnes joins from Bloomsbury, where she has worked for 14 years and is head of special sales. “She has worked across the full Bloomsbury list and her proven track record of acquiring new businesses and building relationships with new customers will ensure continued sales success for the company,” said DK.
The appointment follows Alex Scammell’s departure to Imagine That at the end of June.
Jacqueline Sells, DK’s UK and group sales director, said: “I am delighted Emily is joining DK to head our mass-market and non-trade sales team. Emily's in-depth experience and strong relationships with these important customers will ensure she is best placed to grow this successful area of our business even further. Her passion and determination, combined with her clear strategic thinking, will be a great asset to DK.”
Monckton-Milnes said: "I have greatly enjoyed my time at Bloomsbury; I have met so many wonderful people and worked on truly amazing books and I thank them for my time there. I am thrilled to be starting a new chapter with DK. They are creators of spectacular books and I am a long-time admirer of what they do — I cannot wait to get started!"
She will join DK on 20th September and will report directly to Sells.
