David & Charles parent company F+W Publications has rebranded itself as F+W Media to reflect the wide range of formats—including digital books—the company plans to offer. The firm said it was “on track to dramatically grow its e-media revenues”, with plans to digitise more than 1000 of its back catalogue of books and magazines by the end of the year.
From 2009 onwards, F+W Media will publish products digitally from release. David Nussbaum, chairman and c.e.o of F+W said: “‘Publications’ no longer adequately describes what we are as a company. Today our mission is to offer the highest quality content in a variety of formats—from print to digital to video—to our passionate enthusiast communities.”
Initially products will be sold online through F+W’s range of specialist websites, such as MyCraftivity.com and an updated version of Everything.com.
