A fiction debut from N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos planned for release this autumn has been delayed.
Headline signed world rights to two novels from the singer and former "X-Factor" judge last year, alongside her autobiography, Honest.
The first novel, said to be about a young girl's path to stardom, was originally due for release this month but will not now appear this autumn.
The singer's publicist, in consultation with Headline, said: "When Tulisa signed a book deal with Headline there were provisional plans made to release a debut novel in autumn 2013. However, a decision was made earlier this year to continue work on the novel, with the view to releasing the book at a later date. An announcement regarding release date and title of the novel will be made in due course.”
The singer will answer police bail in October over claims of involvement in a cocaine deal which were made by the Sun on Sunday in June. Contostavlos has denied the claims.
Honest has sold 67,000 copies in hardback through Nielsen BookScan and 73,000 copies (to a value of £760,000) across all print editions to date.
