Amazon has unveiled a dedicated website for its Amazon Publishing platform.
The website currently features an image of a child in a woman's arms, with both reading a Kindle, and the strapline: "Amazon Publishing brings a diverse range of outstanding books to readers worldwide."
The site features Amazon Publishing imprints Thomas & Mercer (crime and thriller); Amazon Children's Publishing; Amazon Crossing (translated works); Amazon Encore ("rediscovered" books); 47 North (science fiction and fantasy); Montlake Romance (romance); Little A (literary fiction); Grand Harbour Press (spiritual and self discovery); and Amazon Publishing (non-fiction, memoirs and general fiction). Authors are listed in
alphabetical order and the website also features a "recently published" section.
The website reads: "Amazon Publishing is interested in partnering with foreign publishers to make our books available in local languages throughout the world."
It also states: "Our mission is to invent new and better ways to connect authors and readers. We publish in print, e-book, audio, and deluxe formats, as well as Kindle Serials and Kindle Singles. We support authors with editorial collaboration, cover design, marketing and PR support, fast and efficient production, and access to a global marketplace of Readers, along with some things authors might not expect, including monthly royalty payments, access to daily sales reports, and a dedicated author relations manager."
The website also lists 26 editors, including former Brilliance Audio employee Tim Ditlow and Emilie Marneur, previously content director for Audible.co.uk, said to be "focused on acquiring commercial genre fiction (crime and thrillers, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, and historical fiction) from UK-based authors."
