Deadline looms for Airlife bids

<p>Final bids to acquire military and aviation publisher Airlife are to be made by Friday 21st March. The company went into receivership earlier this month.</p><p>Crecy, a Manchester-based rival in military and aviation books, has emerged as a frontrunner to acquire the ailing company. But the receiver Deloitte&amp;Touche said it had received "a number of expressions of interest, including potential buyers from abroad".</p><p>Airlife, which has been trading for more than 25 years, is to be sold as a going concern if possible, although 11 out of 16 employees have already been made redundant....
