D&C to rebrand as F&W

<p>Crafts specialist David &amp; Charles has rebranded as F&amp;W Media International, bringing itself under the banner of parent company F&amp;W Media. </p><p>David &amp; Charles, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, will continue to publish new titles, and F+W Media International will now take full responsibility for imprints such North Light Books, Writer&rsquo;s Digest, Adams Media and Krause Publications, in all markets outside the US. Additionally, F+W Media International will grow the third party product distribution arm of its business.&nbsp; </p><p>James Woollam, managing director of the newly-branded firm, said: &quot;This reflects our positioning as not just a publisher but as a community-focused media business. We are undertaking new initiatives that reflect the changing industry landscape, and new content delivery and revenue opportunities available to us, on and offline.&quot; </p><p>Sara Domville, president of F+W Media, added: &quot;F+W Media International will act as our worldwide portal, customising content created in the US to more closely suit the European markets and thereby exceed our customer expectations. We are committed to focusing on enhancing our international sales for the family product as well as building upon our significant strategic distribution partnerships.&quot; </p><p><a href="../news/96662-page.html" target="_blank">Last June, David &amp; Charles underwent a major restructure, creating a &quot;vertical&quot; approach to the subject matter, and resulting in redundancies for roughly 70 people, or half of the work force at the time. </a></p>
