The Beast of Buckingham Palace named Christmas number one

David Walliams’ The Beast of Buckingham Palace (HarperCollins) is the 2019 Christmas number one, securing the author’s third festive top spot after 2016’s The Midnight Gang and 2017’s Bad Dad. Illustrated by Tony Ross, The Beast… sold 87,990 copies to boomerang back into the UK Official Top 50 number one spot, with last week’s overall bestseller Pinch of Nom: Everyday Light (Bluebird) dropping to fourth place, according to Nielsen BookScan's Total Consumer Market.
