Daunt confident on Christmas despite 'devastating' local lockdowns

Waterstones m.d. James Daunt has admitted local lockdowns have been “devastating” for sales but says he is confident stores can meet demand in the run-up to Christmas.

Daunt, also c.e.o. of Barnes & Noble in the US, was speaking at the Frankfurt Book Fair on 14th October in a streamed discussion with Publishing Perspectives' Porter Anderson about the changing retail sector.
