Dandy memoir for Sceptre

Jocasta Brownlee at Sceptre has bought world English rights in a memoir by Sebastian Horsley, whose most recent act of notoriety was to get sacked as sex columnist of the Observer after offering overly graphic advice.

Brownlee describes the book, Dandy in the Underwold, as "very funny, sometimes shocking, and often terrifying". Horsley has been an artist, male escort, stock market speculator, and prodigious user of drugs and prostitutes.

Sceptre has world English rights including serial through agent Patrick Walsh. Publication will be in autumn 2007.
