Cromwell Press denies allegations over staff pay

Academic book printer Cromwell Press has denied allegations that it is underpaying its staff and accused &quot;a small number&quot; of them of endangering the company&#39;s future.<br /><br />The printer hit out after a local newspaper reported that some of the its employees had approached the press complaining of late wages and underpayment. A spokesman for Cromwell Press told <em>PrintWeek</em>: &quot;A long-standing arrangement with the staff has been in place for more than six months now. It is there to smooth out the company&#39;s cashflow.&quot;
