C&R consolidates crime imprint

Constable & Robinson has consolidated its crime fiction into a single imprint, C&R Crime. The imprint is branded with a new logo [pictured], and will be supported by dedicated website crcrime.co.uk.

Editorial director Krystyna Green, who previously published crime fiction under the separate Constable hardback and Robinson paperback imprints, will lead C&R Crime.

Chairman Nick Robinson said: “It makes perfect sense that we publish crime under a single imprint so that readers, booksellers (whether bricks-and-mortar or e-retailers), authors and, let’s face it, ourselves all know where the books are coming from . . . Two into one really does go.”

C&R Crime will launch with publication of James Craig’s The Circus, the fourth novel in the author’s Inspector Carlyle series, and new talent including Paul Doiron, A D Garrett and Elizabeth Hand.
