Constable & Robinson has acquired two further novels by Tom Winter, author of dark comedies Lost & Found and the forthcoming Arms Wide Open (both Corsair).
Victoria Hughes-Williams bought UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Juliet Mushens at The Agency Group.
Hughes-Williams said: “The whole team at C&R had so much fun publishing Tom’s bitter-sweet debut, Lost & Found. The Kindle number one chart success was the icing on the cake. We’re planning to build on this success with Arms Wide Open this spring and, in turn, Tom’s next two books.”
She added: “Tom’s novels brilliantly expose the futility and frailty of human existence – offset with a wry touch, which belies the seriousness beneath.”
The first book in the new deal, Days of Wonder, follows a couple who meet by chance and the personal journey they each undergo as a result of that meeting. Constable & Robinson will publish in August 2015.
