Coronet will publish "Strictly Come Dancing" presenter Tess Daly's first sashay into fiction, having acquired The Camera Never Lies by the TV host.
Editor Charlotte Haycock acquired British Commonwealth rights to the novel through Polly Hill at John Noel Management.
The book will tell the story of an ex-model turned breakfast TV presenter who finds that the drama behind the scenes eclipses anything that goes on in front of the camera.
Haycock said: "Tess is bringing some of the brilliant and often outrageous things that she has seen in her career as a model and in television to the page. Her incredibly funny novel has a larger than life cast of characters, bags of style and plenty of love and heartbreak too."
Coronet plans to publish the novel as a small format hardback in October 2011, with a paperback to follow in summer 2012.
Daly previously had The Baby Diaries published by Random House imprint Vermillion in February 2010.
