Celeste Ward-Best has been appointed as senior marketing manager at Cornerstone, beginning in the role 4th November.
Ward-Best most recently worked for Penguin General, where she spent two and a half years in the communications team working across Viking, Hamish Hamilton, Fig Tree and Penguin Ireland imprints and led marketing campaigns for such bestselling authors as Nick Hornby, Nina Stibbe, Jonathan Coe, Clare Balding, Ruby Wax, Sinead Moriarty and Robert Macfarlane.
She was also involved in campaigns for two Top 10 bestsellers: The Tea-Planter's Wife and Simon Schama's multi-discipline project The Face of Britain, for which she has collaborated with the BBC and National Portrait Gallery.
Ward-Best will report to acting marketing director, Jennifer Doyle. She said: “Celeste has demonstrated an ability to think strategically and creatively in the execution of her campaigns and management of her authors, as well as a clear understanding of audience. She has experience in managing multi-platform campaigns of all budget levels that have delivered tangible results. Her dedication to reaching new readers for her authors can also be seen in the ongoing relationships she has built with third party brands including Wetransfer, Boden, Topshop, Tetley Tea and White Stuff. She adds to this expertise in self-service digital advertising platforms, social media management and content creation.
“I know Celeste will be a fantastic addition to the team.”
