Media group Coolabi is hoping to take Beast Quest, the children’s book and app brand, into Europe by appointing licensing agents for France, Italy and Belgium.
M J A Licensing, which represents Candy Crush, will represent Beast Quest in France and Belgium, and The Evolution of Licensing will look after the brand in Italy.
Fée Heyer, senior licensing manager at Coolabi, said: “Beast Quest has achieved global success and has a strong fan base in Europe, so the appointment of international agents is an exciting progression for the brand. M.J.A and The Evolution of Licensing were chosen for their clear passion for the brand and unrivalled expertise.”
Beast Quest is a series of children’s fantasy fiction, created by Working Partners in 2007 and published by Orchard.
Book sales now top more than 15m copies worldwide, according to www.thebookseller.com/news/working-partners-and-beast-quest-sold-coolabi-founders">Coolabi, which bought the brand in 2012.
An app, produced by Coolabi Group and Miniclip, has reached 6m downloads, according to the brand owner.
