The Cool-er e-Book reader, which disappeared from the market when parent company Interead went into liquidation in June, is set to return in partnership with fellow e-book specialist Elonex, according to technology website Pocket-lint.
Cool-er marketing director Phil Wood told the site that Elonex had the financial stability to back the start-up. "The tie-in with their pedigree is one that’s a perfect match for Cool-er," he added.
The deal will see the arrival five new e-book readers, branded as Elonex Cool-er e-readers, which will will retain the Cool-er multi-coloured styling, but combine the two companies' firmware.
The range will also contain a full colour e-ink proposition, with Wood saying: "If you’re dedicated reader, you want e-ink. And, obviously, in the new year, colour e-ink is coming along".
