Jill Colbert has been appointed as the interim chief executive of CILIP, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, following the departure of Annie Mauger from the role.
Mauger leaves the body at the end of January to take up the role of director of national business units at the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Colbert is currently director of resources at CILIP, with responsibility for IT, finance and human resources. She has worked at CILIP since 2009, and previously worked at the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Refugee Legal Centre.
Martyn Wade, chair of the CILIP board, said: "CILIP is on a secure footing and in a strong position for the future. To build on this it is important that we have the right leadership and management in place as we complete the recruitment and appointment of a new permanent Chief Executive."
Colbert will act an interim chief executive from 1st February until a new full chief executive is appointed.
