Hillary Clinton has kicked off the UK promotional activity for her memoir Hard Choices (Simon & Schuster) today (3rd July) with an exclusive book signing at Waterstones Piccadilly.
The former US Secretary of State signed 400 books for a queue of excited fans in London earlier today, which lasted around 90 minutes.
Clinton’s promotional activity for the memoir includes an interview on BBC Radio 4’s "Woman’s Hour" today, a stint on BBC Radio 2’s "Jeremy Vine" show and an appearance on "The One Show" later tonight (3rd July). Tomorrow (4th July), the politician is set to appear on "BBC Breakfast", Channel 4 News, get involved with a webchat on Mumsnet and have interviews with The Guardian and Yahoo online.
She will also appear on the cover of Stylist Magazine on 16th July and in the Sunday Telegraph on 19th July.
A prominent media campaign backed the publication of Hard Choices last month and it received wide support from chain booksellers such as WH Smith and Waterstones.
On the week of publication, the title debuted in second position in the non-fiction hardback chart, selling just under 5,600 copies. It has sold 13,066 units to date.
The former US Secretary of State has not formerly announced any intention to enter the race for the White House in 2016 but many reviews of the memoir, which covers her four years in the post as America's top diplomat, noted the release of the book as an indicator of her likely intention to do so.
