Agent Ludo Cinelli has been promoted to m.d. at The Eve White Literary Agency.
Cinelli joined the company in 2017 as founder and director Eve White’s assistant, after internships in various publishing companies. He will continue as an agent, reporting to White, but has also been promoted to m.d. with immediate effect.
His responsibilities now cover all aspects of running the business. He continues to develop his list of fiction and non-fiction clients including Instagram star James Norbury, 2019 Betty Trask Prize-winner James Clarke and nature writer Ben Short.
White said: “After some amazing deals and four years of inspired work, I have great confidence in Ludo. He is efficient, dedicated, clever, energetic and, as such, loved by all our clients. He is someone on whom I’ve increasingly come to rely for his confidence in and understanding of all areas of my company. So when we moved the business to new premises [in Westminster] last year, expansion was the next step and who better to appoint to this new role?”
Cinelli paid tribute to his clients for their "precious, brilliant work”, saying: “I’m excited to step up to this challenge and to continue growing our small but mighty business."
The agency has also recently launched its new internship programme. Freelance scout Steven Evans will be the first intern and will start in late July, reporting to Cinelli.
