Independent romance publisher Choc Lit has bought world rights to a romantic comedy which was shortlisted for the Good Housekeeping novel prize in collaboration with Orion.
Politically Incorrect by Sarah Waights follows an MP’s wife whose loyalties are tested by the reappearance of an old flame.
“The heroine’s mainly unsuccessful attempts to be the perfect politician’s wife in the unsympathetic glare of the political spotlight provide plenty of opportunity for comedy she struggles to decide between duty and following her heart,” Choc Lit said.
The publisher, which celebrated its fifth birthday this month, bought world rights directly from the author.
