Choc Lit has acquired a contemporary romance novel, recommended to the publisher by WH Smith Travel fiction buyer Matt Bates.
Lyn Vernham, m.d. of the independent women’s fiction publisher, bought world rights to Sheryl Browne’s book, currently called For the Rest of My Life, direct from the author.
Vernham heard about the book from Bates, who read the manuscript after meeting Browne at the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s Annual Conference.
For the Rest of My Life follows Adam Hamilton-Shaw, a womaniser with a dark, defining incident in his past, and screenwriter Sienna Meadows, who is having problems with her script.
Browne is a previously published author of six books by independent publisher Safhket Publishing.
She was shortlisted for an Innovation in Romantic Fiction award at the Festival of Romance in 2012.
The novel will be released in 2015.
