Charts: Alfie, Peppa grab first number ones

Alfie Deyes has avoided the difficult second book syndrome by notching up his, and publisher Blink’s, first UK Official Top 50 number one.  

The YouTuber’s The Pointless Book 2 shifted 21,922 copies through Nielsen BookScan’s Total Consumer Market, displacing the previous week’s top seller, Paula Hawkins’s The Girl on the Train (Doubleday, 15,005 copies), which drops to fourth place. In the process, Deyes also achieved his 18th week as a Paperback Non-Fiction number one since his first book was published in October 2014.
