Century and Arrow have signed a new multi-book contract with No Child of Mine author Susan Lewis.
Cornerstone m.d. Susan Sandon struck the deal for world rights in six titles with Toby Eady at Toby Eady Associates.
Since 2009 Lewis has published two titles a year. The publisher reported that print sales of No Child of Mine are just under 36% ahead of her last paperback Losing You, and that her e-book sales saw a 350% growth year on year in 2012.
Sandon said: “Susan has a gift for understanding and exposing the complexities of modern relationships; her novels are always compelling, heartfelt and deeply moving. She is one of the absolute stars of the Century and Arrow lists and it’s terrific to have this new multi-book deal in place.’
No Child of Mine is set to be published in the US on 21st May, and Don’t Let Me Go on 9th July, after US rights were sold to Ballantine Bantam Dell.
Jennifer Hershey, BBD senior vice-president, editor in chief, said: "We are beyond thrilled to become Susan Lewis’ publisher in the US. She’s a remarkably talented storyteller and we look forward to bringing her to a much broader American audience."
