BookTrust has hired Caroline Hill-Trevor as head of book selection and purchasing.
Hill-Trevor, who joins the company today (4th December), will be in charge of sourcing children’s titles for BookTrust’s book gifting programmes such as Bookstart, Time to Read, The Letterbox Club and School Library Pack.
“I am thrilled to be joining BookTrust as their head of book selection and purchasing,” she said. “BookTrust is a brilliant charity doing wonderful and important work getting children across the country reading. I look forward to working with our publishing partners to encourage a love of reading amongst children by getting excellent books into their hands.”
Hill-Trevor was previously a freelance rights consultant and before that was director of rights and contracts at Scholastic.
She will report to Jill Coleman, director of children’s books at BookTrust, who said: “Caroline is immensely knowledgeable and well respected across the publishing industry. I am delighted she will be joining us to work with our publisher partners to get great books into the hands of children across the country.”
Hill-Trevor replaces Lisa Davis, who is now a freelance children’s publishing consultant and can be reached on firstname.lastname@example.org.
