Carlton releases Olympic e-books

Carlton Books has today (11th January) released the first e-book editions of its Olympic publishing range, with plans to release a further selection of digital versions of the more than 30 titles in the range in the run-up to the Games this summer.

The first e-books released are The Official Countdown to the London 2012 Games by Simon Hart; children's book Meet Wenlock and Mandeville! which features a built-in film; The True Story of Britain's Paralympic Heroes; and London 2012: Get Fit for the Games; as well as four children's novels by Robert Rigby: Running in her Shadow, Parallel Lines, Wheels of Fire and Deep Waters.

Carlton Publishing Group commercial director Jim Greenhough said: "We have already sold in excess of 100,000 physical books in 2011 and the demand is building day by day . . . It is important to publish the London 2012 titles electronically as early in 2012 as possible to take advantage of the massive interest in the Olympic Games in the UK."

All titles will be for sale at the same price as their printed counterparts (between £5.99-£12.99) and are now available for Kindle and from the iBook store.
