The Balvenie global brand ambassador Gemma Paterson said: “The Balvenie Distillery is built on stories – they really are our lifeblood. Like storytellers, our craftspeople are challenging familiar narratives with new twists, all with the goal of making the perfect single malt whisky. We were determined to create a book of world-class storytelling that honours that pursuit and we only wanted to do this if we could make a meaningful contribution to the world of literary fiction. We’re delighted to be partnering with some of the world’s best storytellers and look forward to sharing this unique collection with the world.”
Preston added: “This is a collection of extraordinary stories from some of the world's greatest writers, all exploring the question of what pushes us to challenge ourselves, to seek out perfection, to carry on against the odds. A mixture of fiction and non-fiction, these inspirational stories are by turn epic and intimate, heartbreaking and uplifting, but all will leave you with a deeper understanding of the human condition.”
