Canongate has announced a raft of promotions ahead of the new year, across its sales and audio divisions.
Joanna Lord has been promoted from head of audio and online sales to head of UK and digital sales. Meanwhile, Nadine Luchsinger, previously sales operations executive, will become sales operations manager. Katalina Watt is being promoted to audio and digital executive, from audio and digital assistant.
Celebrating the promotions, commercial director Jenny Fry said: “We’re very happy for Jo, Nadine, and Katalina — there’s no shortage of talent or effort at Canongate, and we’re very lucky to have people who are so passionate about what and how we publish. I’m thrilled for Nadine and Kat and know they will continue to do great things for the company. I’m also over the moon for Jo — she’s a Canongate veteran, and has proved herself an invaluable and cool-headed colleague at every turn”.
Lord joined Canongate in 2014 having worked previously at the Guardian Bookshop, as well as at Atlantic and as a Waterstones bookseller. She said: "It’s really exciting to be expanding my role to include our UK sales, especially in what promises to be a year of great books for Canongate. I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the brilliant sales team to develop the business in 2021 and beyond."
The new posts will come into effect from 1st January 2021.
