Burton scores number one hat trick

Jessie Burton has notched up a third number one position on the official UK Top 50.

The Miniaturist (Picador) sold 21,601 copies in the seven days ending 17th January, down 14.5% in volume terms week on week and just 1,035 copies more than Emma Healey's Elizabeth is Missing (Penguin), also a non-mover in second place selling 20,566 copies.  Both £7.99 paperbacks were the TCM's 5,000's most valuable individual titles last week. Burton's debut was worth just under £106,000 but Healey's novel selling for an average £5.05 (£0.15 more than Burton's) also contributed just under £104,000.
