"Alice in Wonderland" director Tim Burton is to helm a big-screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's mash-up novel Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter.
Burton will produce the film alongside Timur Bekmambetov, who directed Angelina Jolie film "Wanted". The producer of "Wanted", Jim Lemur, will also produce ALVH.
Grahame-Smith will adapt the screenplay from his novel, published by Corsair in April, which follows the US president's "secret, epic battle with the undead" as an axe-throwing vampire assassin. His hit novel Pride & Prejudice & Zombies is currently in development as a film starring Natalie Portman.
Burton, Bekmambetov and Lemley most recently produced the animated feature "9" together.
