Audible Studios has won audio rights to One Summer: America 1927, the new non-fiction title from Bill Bryson.
Audible took world English rights, excluding the US and Canada, in a three-way auction. It will release the title on 26th September to tie into Doubleday’s print edition.
Bryson will narrate, the first time he has done so for Audible. One Summer focuses on five eventful months in the summer of 1927, including the birth of talking pictures and the peak of Al Capone’s reign of terror.
Bryson will also narrate an exclusive audio project later this year for Audible, with proceeds going to the Love Hearts Appeal at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
