Vintage marketing director Roger Bratchell is to leave the company after more than two decades.
Bratchell’s last day will be 19th June.
During his time at the Penguin Random House division Bratchell has overseen campaigns for authors including Ian McEwan, Jo Nesbo, Nigella Lawson, Mark Haddon, Haruki Murakami and Audrey Niffenegger.
Bratchell said: “I have had the most fantastic time at Vintage and had the pleasure of working with many wonderful colleagues and inspiring authors, but after 21 years it feels like a good time to try something new. I am excited at the possibility of exploring new opportunities in the coming months, both in marketing and even possibly beyond.”
Faye Brewster, deputy m.d. of Vintage, said: “Roger is one of the most generous, supportive and creative colleagues I've worked with and I know everyone at Vintage is going to miss his good humour and wisdom. His contribution to our division over the years cannot be overestimated. He has been instrumental in helping define not only the unique journey of individual books, many of them bestsellers, but the atmosphere, personality and shape of the whole Vintage division.”
