The Brain goes to Canongate

Canongate has acquired a book which promises to do for “the mind what Carl Sagan’s Cosmos did for the universe”.

Non-fiction publishing director Katy Follain bought world rights to American neuroscientist David Eagleman’s The Brain.

The deal was done with Blink Films which is producing a six-part TV series which will air in the US on PBS in September 2015.

US rights have gone to Pantheon.
