Joy Ellis’ Marshlight (Joffe) illuminated the Bookstat number one spot for the week ending 10th July, with the fourth Detective Matt Ballard title debuting at the top.
Mhairi McFarlane’s Last Night (HarperCollins), which saw its Kindle price drop to 99p last week, bounced into second place, joined by Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library (Canongate), also briefly discounted, in third place.
Ian Rankin’s A Song for the Dark Times (Orion) and Clare Chambers’ Small Pleasures (Weidenfeld & Nicolson) boomeranged back up into the top five, as Robinne Lee’s The Idea of You (Penguin), John Connolly’s The Nameless Ones (Hodder & Stoughton) and Jo Bartlett’s The Cornish Midwife (Boldwood) all made their debuts.
Clarification: Hachette has confirmed that A Song for Dark Times sold 9,101; Small Pleasures 8,203; Michael Connelly's The Law of Innocence 7,042 and The Nameless Ones 3,218.
