Bookouture snaps up Nazi conspiracy thriller

Bookouture has acquired a Nazi conspiracy thriller and a second novel from British philosopher Iain King,

Publishing director Claire Bord bought world English Language rights in Secrets of the Last Nazi and a follow-up from agent Clare Hulton.

Bord said: “Secrets of the Last Nazi is a wholly original, clever and action-packed debut, rooted in the Third Reich’s real fascination with astrology and predicting the future.”

She added: “With our first crime debut, Angela Marson’s Silent Scream launching into the Kindle Top 10 on pre-orders alone this month, we’re keen to build our Crime and Thriller offering at Bookouture. Iain’s novel is a fantastic addition to the list which will really appeal to fans of Scott Mariani’s Ben Hope series.”

King said he was “thrilled” to have signed with Bookouture. He said of his book:  “Secrets of the Last Nazi involved a great deal of detailed research, and what I discovered was profoundly shocking. I know many people will find it hard to believe, or refuse to believe it. The book is my attempt to wrap those truly amazing facts in a clever tale.”

King has worked in warzones, politics, teaching and journalism. In Afghanistan, he served in more frontline bases than any other civilian and he is one of the youngest people ever to be made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE).

Bookouture will publish Secrets of the Last Nazi in e-book and paperback this summer, with the second book in the series following in early Spring 2016.
