Digital imprint Bookouture has signed a women's fiction debut from Fiona Valpy, The French for Love, for release on 12th July.
The novel tells of a woman adapting to a new life and love in the winelands of Bordeaux. The author herself moved to France from the UK in 2007, renovating an old farmhouse with her husband.
Bookouture founder Oliver Rhodes said: "Fiona's personal experience of living in France really helps to bring Bordeaux alive—from French village life, to the delicious wines, to the hilarious language faux pas that await the unsuspecting visitor.
"As an added bonus, publishing digitally enables us to move really quickly and get this fantastic novel in people's hands in time for their summer holidays."
