The London Evening Standard will launch Calling London, a book about its recent Dispossessed campaign, on 7th September.
Written by chief features writer David Cohen the book will tell how a conversation between Cohen and Evening Standard editor Geordie Greig sparked a campaign about the capital's most disadvantaged and a charitable fund which has now raised over £7m. The book has a foreword by Greig.
The launch of Calling London coincides with an exhibition about the campaign, to be held at the Museum of London until 20th November.
All proceeds from the book (cover price £10) will go to the Dispossessed Fund, which gives grants to community groups in the capital working to help lift people out of poverty. The title is available at www.standard.co.uk/booksdirect, or through Amazon in e-book format.
