Literary events organiser Book Slam is releasing its second book of short stories, with contributions from writers such as David Nicholls, Chris Cleave, and Marina Lewycka.
All of the 12 writers are alumni of Book Slam live events, and there will be three launch events featuring different authors held at the end of November.
The new collection, Too Much Too Young – Volume 2, follows Book Slam’s first book, One For The Trouble – Volume 1, which saw writers such as Simon Armitage and Irvine Welsh all writing stories which took their inspiration from a song title. It was released in November 2011, with a limited publication of 1,500 copies all signed by the authors. The second volume will follow a similar format, with e-book and audio versions also released.
Book Slam will hold three launch events with writers including David Nicholls and Peter Serafinowicz, culminating with an evening at the The Tabernacle in Notting Hill with Jackie Kay and Luke Wright on November 29th.
