The Book People revenue down 6% in 2014

In the year that Endless acquired The Book People it reduced operating losses (before exceptional items) to £1.4m, but revenue was down 6%.

Venture capitalist firm Endless became a majority shareholder in the mail order, internet and book events business in September last year in a deal “worth between £10m-£20m” and since then it has gone through a period of upheaval, with co-founders Ted Smart and Seni Glaister both leaving the company, around 100 people being made redundant and a distribution warehouse in Coventry closing.
