Bonnier’s Studio Press is teaming up with Marvel Entertainment to publish a book about 65 Marvel characters that “changed the universe”, including Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Shuri and Squirrel Girl.
Helen Wicks, executive director of Studio Press, said: “Studio Press is immensely proud to be publishing Marvel’s Powers of a Girl. This stunningly-illustrated, timely title shines a light upon the incredible female figures now taking centre stage in the Marvel Universe. It’s a book to encourage girls everywhere to go higher, further, faster.”
Written by Lorraine Cink and illustrated by Alice X Zhang, the book explores the responsibility but also the fun that comes with being a hero, said the publisher.
Powers of a Girl will be published on 11th July, priced at £12.99. Studio Press will then publish a second Marvel book, The Marvel Museum, featuring artwork from the Marvel Archives, on 17th October.
