Bonnier Publishing has acquired Lincolnshire-based commercial fiction publisher Totally Entwined Group for an undisclosed sum.
Bonnier is acquiring the whole company and its imprints Totally Bound Publishing (romance), Pride Publishing (LGBTQI fiction), Finch Books (YA), Evidence Press (crime and thriller) and Celebritease (celebrity authors).
Taking place with immediate effect, the acquisition will not result in any redundancies. C.e.o. Claire Siemaszkiewicz and director Marek Siemaszkiewicz will retain their positions and continue to be based in their Lincolnshire offices.
Mark Smith, Bonnier Publishing fiction c.e.o., said: “This move is the first of several acquisitions we anticipate on the fiction side of our business. It further demonstrates the ambitious nature of Bonnier Publishing and highlights our commitment to growth, be that organic or via acquisition.
“Totally Entwined is a great fit for us: a highly entrepreneurial business, working with high profile authors to produce fantastic titles in several different fiction markets.”
Smith joined the company in 2014 when Bonnier bought his company, Zaffre, for an undisclosed fee.
Bonnier also acquired children’s publisher Igloo last year.
Earlier this month the publisher said it wants to expand the headcount in the fiction division grow by as much as 25% and is currently hiring a director/head of export sales, key account manager (digital sales), key account manager (print fiction), PR manager and marketing manager.
